Easy and Classic Hummus

Love hummus? It’s so easy to make your own! Here is a hummus recipe that is super easy to blend up.

Equipment

  • Can opener
  • garlic press
  • blender
  • measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 15 oz can organic chickpeas, drained & rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic, or 1 clove if you don't like a lot of garlic
  • Tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • cup tahini
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • cup warm water

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender or Nutribullet.

  • Blend for 1-2 minutes, or until smooth.

  • Drizzle a dash of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of cayenne pepper, and add cilantro on top for extra flavor. (optional)
    Hummus in a bowl ready to serve.

Notes

This hummus lasts 4-5 days in the refrigerator. However, you must store it in an airtight container so it doesn’t spoil.
