Quick, Creamy, and Delicious Mushroom Toast

- 2 Tbsp butter, unsalted
- ½ lb white mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 baguette, sliced
Preheat the oven to 375F.
In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat.

Add diced onion and thinly sliced mushrooms. Cook for 7 minutes, or until onion is soft and mushrooms are lightly brown.

Season with a small pinch of salt. Add minced garlic, give the mushroom mixture a good mix, and remove from the heat.

Transfer mushrooms and onions into a mixing bowl. Add chopped dill and mayonnaise. Mix well. (Optional: Add more salt to taste.)

Spoon the mushroom mixture onto each slice of bread. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

Bake for 5-7 minutes at 375F until bread is crispy and slightly golden on the edges.
Add garlic rub to each slice of bread for extra flavor:
- Cut one garlic clove in half and rub it over the bread before topping it with the mushroom mixture.
