We would make fresh fruit jams at home, and have little pint jars lining the shelves in the pantry. In the evening after dinner, we love to sit at the table and enjoy this homemade apricot jam recipe.
Apricot jam is hands down one of my favorite jams of all time. It is light, sweet, and irresistibly delicious. We make it from simple ingredients. Fresh apricots and the perfect amount of sugar make for the best topping on English muffins, toast, or yogurt with granola.
Stone fruits truly do make the best jams! A great recipe is one that uses the freshest fruits. You can combine apricots with sugar and enjoy straight from the jar.

Where and when can we find apricots?
I definitely do not have an apricot tree in my yard, but I know for sure that apricots can be found from June to August. They’re the perfect summer fruit, and apricot season means it’s also the season for many more fruits.
You can find this ripe fruit in any grocery store. I suggest that you buy juicy apricots at a local farmer’s market, and if not, the grocery store that will definitely carry organic fruits.
While you’re at it, you might as well pick some blueberries or strawberries for a blueberry jam, or a homemade strawberry jam! I can’t think of a more perfect way to enjoy fresh fruits.

Sugar sweetens this recipe up. (You’ll need about 1 lb, or 2.25 cups of sugar. For a sweeter jam, you can add more to taste.) A good jam is one that meets your taste standards!
Water will be needed to cook the apricots and sugar in.
Jars, because where else will you store the jam? You can use mason jars if you like. Don’t forget to give them a hot water bath to wash them.

How to make Homemade Apricot Jam with 3 Ingredients
Step 1: Prepare the apricots
Wash apricots and cut into pieces.
Step 2: Make the syrup
Over medium heat, add sugar and water into a large pot.
Steps 3 & 4: Stir and add syrup
Stir occasionally until the syrup becomes clear.
Add the syrup to the apricots.
Step 5: Cook and cool
Turn up the heat to high and bring to a boil. Take the foam off the top of the cooking jam. Turn the heat off and let the apricots cool down for about 10 hours or overnight.
Step 6: Reheat
Reheat the apricot jam again to boil. Into well-washed with hot water jars add the apricot jam. Enjoy!
